- I choose around 15 books with great first lines.
- I printed out each of the lines on white paper - I fitted two on each page and cut them in half.
- I taped the top of each piece to its respective book, so it made a flap.
- Then I popped them up on a display rack. I kept some back because I wanted the students to be able to take them out if they liked the look of them.

Display: Using the first line in a book to entice readers
I have been curating some awesome library displays from the web (thank you, Pinterest!) and I'm finding opportunities to use them in my Media Centre. This week, it was a First Lines display.
