Apart from the fascinating alternative narrative, shared between Ada and Stefan, and the plot of unrequited love, shared between Ada and Stefan, the third thing I loved about this book is that it's set in early 1980s Berlin, shared between East and West Berlin. A great historical novel about an important, dangerous and heartbreaking time that many young adults don't know much about.
Putting this one forward for our 10th Grade reading list...
