What I have just finished reading: When You Were Here, by Daisy Whitney

Plot: When Danny's mother dies, he travels to Tokyo where she was having treatment to find out more about her life, and discovers a lot more.

What I think: A YA novel with a strong male voice? Thrilling! Danny's grief is honest and the story, while sad, is still optimistic.

Why you should read it: So you can put visiting Toyoko on your bucket list of places to visit. And read a book in a teen male voice for a change.

Extra bit: You're going to need tissues when you read it...
