I really enjoyed
this interview with Seth Fishman and his wearing of two hats: one as an agent and one as an author. I'm feeling rather terrified of agents at the moment as I send out queries - I feel as if all my happiness is in their hands! - and this interview with Seth reminds me that they're only human too. And he made me feel better too about rejection: it's part and parcel of this industry, even for someone well entrenched in the industry.
I love the interviewer's final question - in my previous life as a journalist, I was always looking for a quirky question to put out there and this is exactly what I would have asked. And Seth's answer sums up fear too:
Question: Are you afraid of the dark?
Answer: I'm not particularly afraid of the dark. I'm afraid of the things that hide in the dark.
I'm looking forward to getting my hand's on The Well's End...
