What I think: My first Sarah Dessen (I know!). I like my YA grittier but good issues touched on: decisions, break-ups, absent father, friends, family...
Why you should read it: I love the way Emaline doesn't let her boyfriends influence her choices - I get tired of a guy always saving the day in romance novels.
Extra bit: I'll be checking out back copies of Sarah Dessen's truckload of books to play catch up...
