Our Grade 8s took over my library for two days to design dolls that will be donated to a local creche. Some of the girls had never sewn before so skills were shared and learnt. Once the dolls were complete, the girls had to come up with backstories for them - what their names were, what their personalities were like, what their hopes and fears were - and then they shared these with each other. The Media Centre looked as if a bomb had hit it by the end! But it was well worth it, and wonderful to see every nook and cranny filled with these smiling faces - we're so fortunate to have such an awesome space for the girls' creativity.
