Crossover books for teens

Five great adult novels I read this year that teens can read too...

Historical novel set during World War from two different points of view - a father and daughter, and their escape from Paris, and a German boy recruited into the army - and what happens when their two stories intersect. Yes, it's over 800 pages long! But that's its biggest challenge; otherwise it's a very readable novel with a storyline that will carry you along swiftly to the conclusion. This is a Patrick Ness for adults, but written in the same easy style that you're familiar with from his teen novels.
A book about a bookstore - what's not to love?! And, of course, it's a bookstore with hidden secrets... Stunning novel about what it means to be a member of a family, no matter who you are. (And you MUST read Fowler's The Jane Austen Bookclub - fun and insightful.)
