What I've just finished reading: This Star Won't Go Out, by Esther Earl

Esther Grace Earl is the inspiration for John Green's The Fault in our Stars, and if you thought his novel was heart-breaking, you'll find this goes to a whole new level when reading This Star Won't Go Out.

The book is made up of journal and blog entries, sketches and photos, letters and comments. It's a beautiful testament to a beautiful, funny, brave girl.

Have tissues at hand. Lots of them.

(Her parents have set up an organization also named This Star Won't Go Out to raise funds to help support the families of children living with cancer - check out the site here.)
