So I sat down earlier this year to make my bucket list. It didn't take me very long to do, and here it is...
And so I did. On October 17th at 12 noon, I wrote the final words to The Day That We Are Born, closed my laptop and went out to buy some bubbly to celebrate with friends. Who were quick to ask, when do we get to read it? I had to point out to them that my bucket list reads: Write a novel. Not write a novel for friends to read.
But I knew that deep down I did want my book to see the light of day, so I added to my list:
So now I am editing and rewriting and rewriting and editing, as deadlines draw nearer, and a dim light is beginning to filter through from the end of the tunnel.
Meanwhile, I've got an idea for another book. So I guess I'd better add that to my list too:
And I'm thinking that I might need another post-it...
